Third year for the Croats of the Lokomotiv Zagreb

Third year for the Croatian Lokomotiv Zagreb at the international tournament under 15 “We Love Football“.

The Lokomotiv, always a guarantee of good football and competitiveness, has never managed to get through the group stage. The first year surrendered in front of Inter, Atletico Madrid and Bologna. In the last edition, however, was the protagonist of group D played in Corticella with Rome, Atalanta and Palmeiras but did not avoid elimination.
This year the Croatians – who will play their matches at the G. Negrini stadium in Castenaso – have a great desire for redemption and will have to contend with Inter, Everton and Bologna in Group A.

Everton will be representing the United Kingdom once again

Everton will be representing the United Kingdom once again.

Second consecutive year for the “Toffees” at the international tournament under 15 “We Love Football“. Two were the British scene on stage in Bologna in recent years, the two protagonists of the derby Merseyside, or Liverpool and Everton.
Founded in 1878, Everton is one of the most prestigious English companies, holder of 23 national titles as first team and 3 Youth Youth FA Cup. In a Premier League where the percentage of foreigners is growing, the “Toffees” are the club that averages more English among the owners and mostly coming from their own nursery. Wayne Rooney, former Manchester United legend, 119 appearances and 53 goals with the British National team is undoubtedly the best known and most representative. But also Ross Barkley, Leighton Baines, Jordan Pickford, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Michael Keane and Thomas Davies.
Young, promising and indispensable for the team are also the jewels of the youth sector Ademola Lookman, Jonjoe Kenny and Mason Holgate. All this has been possible thanks to a policy, that desired by the owner Farhad Moshiri, so it is essential to invest in the nursery. Last year Everton, inserted with Juventus, Zenit and Bologna, did not pass Girone C. In the 2018 edition he will try to redeem himself in Girone A with Inter, Bologna and Lokomotiv Zagreb.

Good Luck guys!

Sassuolo, an excellence of Italian football nurseries, returns to We Love Football

Among the excellences of the Italian football nurseries is certainly the Sassuolo, a company that in addition to having done sensational things recently in Serie A has also invested heavily in the youth sector. The best result was achieved less than a year ago with the success at the Viareggio tournament.

The Sassuolo is a club that believes a lot in the young and the first team of Iachini is the testimony. This year Claude Adjapong has put many presences on the scoresheet, as well as Pol Lirola and Sensi, while in the past years the neroverde shirt has been worn by many young Italians who have become successful champions at Mapei Stadium: just think about Berardi and Politano , but also to Simone Zaza (today at Valencia) and Lorenzo Pellegrini (under Roma).

At the international football tournament under 15 “We Love Football” 2018 is the second time for Sassuolo. Last year the neroverdi caressed the dream of the final, coming out in the semifinals on penalties against Atalanta after a tense match and closed to white nets. This year, included in Girone C with Juventus, Genk and Palmeiras, will try to improve further.

Good luck guys!

Ajax returns to Bologna with one of the best youth sectors in Europe

After taking part in the first edition of the under 15 “We Love Football” international football tournament, Ajax returns to Bologna.

The Dutch under-15 selection is one of the best youth sectors in Europe. The football school of the “Lancers” of Amsterdam, in fact, is famous all over the world. And the quality of the Dutch nursery is supported by the facts.

There are many champions who grew up in Ajax who have written important pages in the history of football: Christian Eriksen of Tottenham; Klas Jaan Huntelaar, former Milan and Real Madrid striker; Edwin Van der Sar, historic goalkeeper for Manchester United and Juventus; Wesley Sneijder, former playmaker of Real Madrid and Inter, team with whom he scored the treble in 2010; Edgar Davids, for seven years a great protagonist with Juventus; Clarence Seedorf, winner of four Champions League with three different teams (Ajax, Real Madrid, Milan); Luis Suarez of Barcelona, one of the strongest current strikers in the world; Zlatan Ibrahimovic, one of the strongest strikers in football history. And finally, the most representative of all: Marco Van Basten, Golden Ball with the Milan shirt.

These are just some examples of champions emerging from the cantera of Amsterdam, a nursery constantly monitored by the great European clubs because of the players who manage to churn out year after year. In the 2016 edition Ajax went out on penalties, however, he highlighted some young talents, all Hossein Zamani, at the time elected MVP of the tournament: currently the 2002 class is under the magnifying glass of the observers of prestigious companies around the world. In that edition the “lancers” played in the group Juventus, Atalanta and Paok Salonicco, while this year they were included in Girone D with Atalanta, Sampdoria and Montreal Impact.

Veel success Ajax!

The Brazilians from Flamengo can’t wait to make their debut in Bologna

One of the many novelties of the 2018 edition of “We Love Football” will undoubtedly be the participation of another Brazilian team: the Flamengo.

Headquartered in Rio De Janeiro, the capital of Brazilian football – in this city, Fluminense, Vasco De Gama and Botafogo also play – the rubro-negro club is considered the most beloved in Brazil – “corn querido do Brasil” -. Third year for Juventus at We Love Football

Third consecutive year for Juventus at the international tournament under 15 “We Love Football”. Needless to remember the prestige that the Bianconeri club brings with it. The most titled club and supporter of Italy, for the past six years, as the first team, dominates nationally and in the Champions League has reached two finals in the last three editions. Vinovo is a continuously developing youth sector, as well as one of the most successful at national level with 9 national Primavera titles and as many successes at the Viareggio Trophy.

In the 2016 edition of “We Love Football” the team of Mr. Cei did not exceed the group with Paok Thessaloniki, Atalanta and Ajax. Last year, however, the under 15 Juventus selection coached by Mr. Bovo passed group C along with Zenit to the detriment of Bologna and Everton; in the quarter-finals he won against Inter and in the semi-final against Roma, he disputed that – without a doubt – it was the most exciting match of the tournament: he finished 2-2, but won the Giallorossi on penalties.

This year Juventus will be in Girone C with Sassuolo, Palmeiras and Genk.

Shonan Bellmare, from Japan to We Love Football 2018

It is impossible to hide the curiosity to receive an Asian team for the first time at  “We Love Football”the under 15 international tournament. One of the big news of 2018, the Japanese of Shonan Bellmare.

But exactly what is the Shonan reality?

Located in Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, the first team of Shonan Bellmare militates in the J1 League, the equivalent of our Serie A, the highest national football championship. In his history he has won several trophies nationwide including 3 Japan Soccer League and 2 Emperor’s Cups. From those parts have passed the likes of Hidetoshi Nakata, former midfielder of Perugia, Parma, Bologna, Fiorentina and especially Rome, where he won the championship with Fabio Capello in 2000/01, a career candidate for the Golden Ball and FIFA World Player in 1998, 1999, 2001 and 2002, and in 2004 inserted by Pelé in the Fifa 100, the list of the greatest footballers of the still living history drawn up by the Brazilian champion.

Currently in the squad of the first team we find the Serbian Alen Stevanovic, who in Italy played in Serie A with the jerseys of Inter, Turin, Bari and Palermo. The youth sector is really at the forefront and we can not wait to discover Eastern football with our eyes. The Shonan Bellmare, included in Girone B, will compare with Roma, Flamengo and B Italia.

Atalanta at We Love Football to defend the Cup

The holders of the title.

Atalanta returns to the Third Edition of the Under 15 International Youth Football Tournament We Love Football with the aim of defending the trophy.

In the last edition the team of Mister Lorenzi won deserving a beautiful 2-1 final against Roma proving once again that in Bergamo the youth sector is the gem of the company of Percassi. The first team is also proving it, in the last three years Mr. Gasperini has done an extraordinary job putting at the base of the project the talented young people coming from Spring. Many now make the fortunes of the most famous teams in Italy: Bonaventura and Conti at Milan, Peluso first at Juventus now at Sassuolo and Gagliardini at Inter are just some of the most popular examples.

However, in Zingonia lately we also try to retain what produced by the nursery and the result is seen: Thursday, February 15, 2018, Atalanta has reached the maximum point, for now, of its history, play the finalists of Europa League at Westfalen Dortmund Stadion against Borussia.

Mattia Caldara, Pierluigi Gollini, Bryan Cristante, Leonardo Spinazzola, Andrea Petagna and Gianluca Mancini are all part of this team and are all players from national youth sectors. In Bergamo, these young people have invested and aimed to build something concrete. The result of the last few years is something extraordinary. A work that starts from the chicks and to We Love Football the Under 15 atalants show the great quality of the football they teach in Zingonia.
In the last edition Atalanta was in Girone D with Roma, Palmeiras and Lokomotiv Zagreb, passed as second went to the quarterfinals against Milan, against which he won 1 to 0, in the semifinals he passed the Sassuolo 3 to 1. In the final as the well-deserved success, the protagonist was Guillame Renault, named MVP of the final of the Dall’Ara.

This year it will not be easy to repeat, it will be an Iron Girone D with Ajax, Montreal Impact and Sampdoria.
